faces

The faces project focuses on the physical faces of the Asian/Pacifica community. As an often stereotyped group, AAPI people are pushed into a box of how they look and who they are. Naya Magazine intends to show the foolishness in assuming that we are a monolith when, in fact, we are each unique and distinct.

North, South, East, West. Island or land-locked. Light or dark. Our community is diverse. Our faces are diverse.

All images featured are taken by AAPI photographers. These portraits resist the stereotypes so often placed on our community and instead show who we are through the lens of our people.
